Care of Children - Parenting Orders

• Assisting in implementing care arrangements for parents either by agreement or through court orders
• Representing clients involved in applications to relocate to a different jurisdiction, both in and out of New Zealand
• Obtaining orders preventing removal of children from New Zealand
• Guardianship applications
• All areas of child custody law

Division of Relationship Property

• Preparation and advice in property sharing and contracting out agreements
• Advising clients on division of property at the end of a relationship including the related aspects of economic disparity and spousal maintenance
• Obtaining dissolution of marriage (divorce)

Claire also has experience in the following areas:

• Proceedings under the Domestic Violence Act – including protection orders, occupation and furniture orders
• Cases involving the Hague Convention
• Proceedings under the Adoption Act
